Not a ISsoftsr, but is it not possible to put a card/annotation/poll at the end of the video labelled "corrections", and then at a later date if there is a need to make a quick correction video go back and edit that card/annotation/poll linking to the correction video (assuming any of these things are 'linkable')? And then if a further one is needed unlist the first correction video, create another correction and change the link in the original video to the new correction video? Again not a ISsoftsr, so this may all be garbage, just seems like there should be some work-around.

  • Haraya Alirak

    Haraya Alirak

    Degi Síðan síðan

Unfortunately, ISsofts had removed functions like polls and annotations a long time ago. The best option now for a direct link to another video is an end screen card (like what grey does here). The corrected, re-uploaded version of What Is Tekoi is on the channel :)

17:19 I don't know if this is an error, but I think it makes more sense if the labels of the axis were swapped. The cost raises more and more while trying to get to perfection, not the other way round. Right now it looks like you would get faster and faster to perfection for every unit of cost you invest.

its ok cgp grey we all make mistakes it happens and for that we must work to fix it and even if their are no major mistakes a discovery could change everything but instead of resisting this new discovery that so many will try to do we must give patience wait for any info for this discovery learn proof read it like a hundred times then send it to be examined and peer reviewed we show it and then let history be made or discovered after who knows how long its been missing we must always look for our past so we can remember it learn from it then apply this new knowledge to today then let this guide us as so many have said "if we forget history we are bound to repeat it" i give respect to those not just dedicating there lives for the pursuit of knowledge to better humanity but teachers those who care for these precious artifacts no mater how tainted with the lives of the innocent we must remember it not to forget those who perished if we ignore it all we are no better then those who did it so for those who are in power use it wisely ask experts and always remember those who came before you we all can change the world but it is not easy so live life to the fullest and help out those less fortunate have a wonderful day and you matter someone may not care but so many do i hope those in terrible situations get the help they need their will always be someone who wants to help life may take you down but you can always get back up i bid you farewell and have wonderful day

This is definitely something that doesn't matter, but calling Error catastrophigus (spelling could be super wrong here) a subspecies when its just a different species of the same genus as Error factualis judging by the naming scheme does amuse me. I would think if it was a subspecies it should be Error factualis catastrophigus, a subspecies of Error factualis. But Grey could simply be using a different taxonomic ruleset than I am accustomed to.

That was a very long video about a detail that is as important as the difference between a red automatic Ford Mustang and a blue Ford Mustang with a stick shift. For most of us, one nuke is the same as another. Maybe 0.01% of viewers might know the difference and maybe half are pedantic enough to point it our in the stereotypical "Well actually..." voice. well, to be fair there's a fair portion of military information which is hard to get right without knowing the specifics of it already. You might see a poster for a missile, but do you know what that missile even is? Some military hardware might look vastly different in one variant compared to another, or multiple distinct types might be similar in appearance. Designations can often cause confusion (especially in the WWII-cold war era where one designation could be shared by multiple things). Much of this is then confused even more as many engineering companies (defense ones especially) will purposefully use designations which are confusing to people with outsider knowledge to have the engineers not really know what they're working on, or to make it less likely that anything meaningful will leak (the auto-industry still does this today). Also, it goes a long way when a creator admits when they were wrong and issues a correction. It builds the credibility of their information. Thank you for the correction.

I'm actually kind of glad ISsofts doesn't let creators replace their videos, rather it stays as or gets completely removed. This way if I watch a video and then after a year, go back and rewatch the same video, I don't have to worry about that video not being the same as when I watched it before. I guess its kind of like preserving history and not letting someone cover something up, even if it is wrong, so I can honestly tell myself that yes, this is that same video that I watched a few years ago and no, I am not going insane. It's kind of like when a comment has 2k likes, then the writer replaces it with "You'll never know why I got so many likes." Edit: Word fixes so people can actually understand what I wrote

I might have spotted an error in this Video :D 17:18 : The cost-perfection graph should have the axes flipped. The closer you get to Perfection the higher the Cost for improvements. The Cost for wiping out errors is relatively low in the beginning the more you polish your product though the higher the Cost. So the Cost to improvement Ratio decreases the higher the Level of already achieved Perfection is it doesnt increase how it does in this graph. (Correct me if im wrong please)
