In India cousins and siblings are no different since we mostly stay together in big families both are annoying like hell
Puerto Rico is pretty much Anakin “you are accepted into the council but are not granted the rank of state”
Tf2 teleporters are the solution
In Finland, there is no snowday, -20°C outside and 2 meter of snow? No problem, school doesnt care.
Grey losing repeatedly be like: I AM THE ANGRY TREEEEEE
im from california so we only had imminent wildfire days.
As a kid I really enjoyed school. Except for PhysEd of course. Nobody likes PhysEd. It wasn't until university that I learned to dread classes. So while I enjoyed the snow days of my youth, I would have been fine without them.
From a teachers point of view, it’s getting scary now. Every time we are sick they are forcing us in our school to teach online - it’s horrendous
Thank you CGP Grey for speaking for us students.
Don't you have a winter break? I understand what school thinks and what they want to achieve. I understand that students want to have some fun. However school is right. It's better to work, rather than wait restlessly a few weeks until public transport will be available again. I see it's an American problem. So yeah... school is right. Deal with it.
You don’t actually have to be a US citizen to get one.
it doesnt snow here in brazil (at least not enough to cancel school) :(
This is literally the best Nature Video I've ever seen
I didn't know what magic was before this video and I want to play (online, since I don't know anybody who plays irl) but the information I found while googling is too overwhelming. Where and how do I download the version of the game that grey is playing in this video and how much will it cost me?
Jury isn't a thing in our country and it is bangladesh
I did this at a career I had that worked 50 hours a week. I felt like I was missing the world on those saturdays I had to work. This was actually one of the big reasons I moved to a different company.
Sigh... Here in Arkansas... snow days are a rare and amazing occurrence Years ago, in the winter, you’d wake up and look at your window, and see snow. The snowflakes falling... And you’d be filled with childhood joy. You see, I lived (and live) in a decently small town. I used to live right across from a park, tennis court, and a pool... Everyone in town, they knew everyone else. When there was a snow day, you could just feel the childhood joy We were all just kids, but building mediocre snowmen was the peak of happiness And, being a small town with kids everywhere, it was even joyful just to drive around, seeing pure, unbridled joy taking shape in these men of snow Let me tell you this... This year, we had a pretty big snow It was the kind of snow perfect for snowmen and snowballs, and every other snow activity you could think of However.... It was just... dead The joy of children was absent The spark of joy gone The snow... was just icy water crystals We all logged onto our classes... and you could feel the aura through your screen Nobody was happy Years ago- EVERYONE would be happy Children would play outside! Have friends! Enjoy themselves! Now, you log onto a meeting. Inside On a computer To see other kids, full of sadness and feeling a bit empty, not being able to enjoy this rare event That spark That joy Gone in an instant Kids should be allowed to be happy and creative A day or two of missing school doesn’t matter Not at all What does matter.. Is happiness I agree completely with this video... It’s a crime against childhood.... Kids.. No not just kids... People need to be able to have fun on days like these... when I become a parent... I won’t be able to have the experience of helping my kid out together a snowman Or having a snowball fight with them Or going sledding in pool tubes No.. I’ll have the experience of seeing them, looking out their window longingly, as they work on an assignment Just by changing a few things, you could probably write a book with a villain doing something similar.. taking away things that bring joy Schools don’t realize It’s heartbreaking to know future generations will grow up on this Checklists. This can’t happen though.. saving snow days isn’t just about skipping school It’s about childhood joy The feeling of waking up and experiencing this rare occurrence And even for adults Driving down the street... and seeing the town... full of life...
The peoples hero
I do not understand your argument. What about hotter regions where there have never been snow days?
You didn't wear a hat for the rest of the video, you wore many
Back when Mirage can out I ran a 250 card deck with the goal decking myself before my opponent could kill me. Grey's uberdeck warms my heart.
Addendum: Some schools are now talking about getting rid of summer break and making the school year longer so they can cram in more learning. The governor of Virginia even claims that "it causes depression and separation anxiety as school friends are unable to see each other, so getting rid of a lengthy break will be better for them." I have no idea what parallel universe he's from, because MY summer breaks were always spent hanging out with friends downing sweet FA. Video games, sleep overs, trips to the mall, nerf and water gun fights. Things that we didn't have a lot of time for during the school year because of class and homework eating up our time before sunset when we all had to be home. Especially in the winter.
3:19 I love the little box of hats
Isn't this a myth? Both always work together doing anything
I live in Southern California. I have never had a "snow day" in my life. School was never cancelled.
Schools in Bakersfield: Jokes on you, there hasn't been snow here in 20 years, and will never ever happen again thanks to global warming!
Which Planet is the mosest closest to Mercury?

The four nations that broke away from the UK through diplomacy: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Maserati.
me still waiting for reservations 1
It doesn't snow where I grew up but when there where massive storms sometimes the bus company would call the school and warn them that the bridges where about to be covered in water so they were sending the last bus to and from that town to make sure us and the teachers got home. We got to go home early! O and once we had a whole week off because the school flooded and the walls where electrified
Arghh, days later... but if anyone is reading this, check an Isaac Asimov short story called: "THE FUN THEY HAD"
"Plagues come from animals." Covid origin confirmed!
Basically just super speed evolution designed by humans.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
People should think about creating a ever sustaining machine before creating an ever sustaining organism... not to mention, even if someway ever sustaining organism is created and everlasting youth is found, people would still kill each other from there everlasting greed and envy.... actually then there would be more incentive to kill others than now... because resource in the universe is limited...
Lmao this has no effect on my southern self
Fun fact: In Finland schools are never closed due to snow. I've literally had school days during an actual blizzard and when it was almost -40 degrees outside.
I am willing to believe the dragon is the "use of fossil fuels"

Any parent worth their salt will just call their kids off sick. I know I would.
0:24 I like how there are flying cars but the clothes ppl are wearing are like the 1700s Just show how we always look at the future in bigger pictures where small details of things that actually change....drastically are ignored :) But looking at this picture made me realise that helicopters and planes are flying cars
Make each Isle hold 2 people

i would seriously rather watch you drive around southern utah then listen to you talk about magic the gathering. please.
CGP... they're _bureaucrats._ Given procedure and efficiency over fun, they'll choose the former every time and laugh at you from the ivory tower above which they did it.
I grew up in Southern California, I never had a snow day
I have done the liking, the commenting, the subscribing, the watching
Reform the electoral college is the best way forward, a proportional system
Evil bureaucrat stresses the importance of learning French conjugation. Incorrectly conjugates "Tu t'amuses." Yeah it tracks.
Dimir rogues sounds perfect for grey

As a man in his early thirties I YEARN for snow days again.

Returning to this video after hearing about Europe's adaptation of the 4 day work week due to the pandemic. What are your thoughts?
My highschool had 4 boilers and commerical salting equipment, there were no snow days unless there was a city wide shutdown. Which were rare. Elementary school and middle school, yupp had them for sure. The best
Here we never even had snowdays
This is a very snotty funny joke that could effect your brain just like the writers Don’t read it
As a _de jure_ grownup with far more important things to think about and a vested interest in my university's labs _not_ being closed tonight (i.e., thesis deadlines): GIVE ME SNOW DAYS OR GIVE ME DEATH.
Wow they figured out how to make childhood even worse
The UK just needs to convince the country of Ireland to leave the EU as well then everything is peachy.
I wonder what a mill deck player thinks when they pull up on a 250 card deck.
I am a 56 year-old "old-fart" who happens to be self-employed (self-unemployed?) so I NEVER get a "day off" anymore. But I do remember "snow days". We would wait and listen to the radio to hear the announcement. And when it came out over the radio, we rejoiced!!! Yes.... I miss "snow days", although I haven't had one since 1982.....
